How to get here
By car from Guatemala City, it takes two and a half hours (144 kms/ 90 miles) on the Panamerican Highway West (CA1). Once you go 3 miles past Los Encuentros, veer left on the road to Sololá and Panajachel.
Veer right on the San Buenaventura valley (where you found a waterfall). The Reserve is on the shores of Lake Atitlan, 1.5 km (a mile) from the center of Panajachel, .
By foot It is a short 12 minute walk from Panajachel or you can take a moto-taxi in town and reach the Visitor Center in 4 minutes. Q10 per person.
